Imagine how the world could be, so very fine

It's been a struggle to be happy this week and I am not sure why. So when Kelli from { bugmiscelany } gave me this award things instantly started looking happier.

As part of this award I must list some things that make me happy (this could be a long one)

early morning walks

since I was a little girl walking to school in the morning, I have loved cold dewy mornings when I could see the spider webs all over the trees and everything was quiet and peaceful.

clever advertising

I was taught to never litter and am happy WA finally started making a campaign of it. I think we should adopt this one from Cincinnati though. It's brilliant!

Looking at the stars and no one around

Zeta all curled up

Funny toothpick dispensers

and last but not least

Coffee breaks with Edward

{ Oh Edward, you make me blush }

Thank you Kelli for  bringing a little Happy back into my week!!

early morning classes

So remember when I started waking up before the sun comes out...well I have gotten so good at it that I wake up before the alarm goes off (most of the time). Going to the gym has gotten easier and easier and sometimes I take a class with a friend. Let me tell you about this class...

1.) Its a step kind of class
2.) We use weights
3.) I have no rhythm and there for I can seem to follow along with class.

Most of the time I am going in a different direction that everyone else in class. This morning I guess I just now realized it and how funny it was, made me giggle watching me and the class in the mirror. I am fail.

So here is some etsy love for aerobics lovers and haters...

Enjoy your Body (I think we can all use this reminder)

Well I am off to donate blood!

Hope you all are having a fantastic day!

Maybe its the changing weather or this up coming weekend (I'm going to a wedding ALONE and my ex will be there {awkward})  Maybe I miss a good friend and her smile...

Yesterday I got the Chandelier I won from a Sweet Harvey Letterpress LLC giveaway! Now to figure out where to put it...I'm thinking above our bed after we paint the wall.

I also got my mini business cards in and LOVE them!

I am having a blast crafting on Monday nights while watching football. (it makes me feel a bit better about watching)

Happy Tuesday!

Etsy Treasury

It's been a long time since I have done a treasury. I am in love with the season right now, so I give you...

Have a fantastic weekend!

Happy (Friday) Thoughts

3 things that have made me happy this week...

1.) getting back into yoga class. I have missed it so much!

ha ha this cracked me up, sometimes this is how i feel. {via}

2.) The beginning of the best season, autumn! It's time to break out the fall decor and light the cinnamon candles. Chilly nights cuddled by the fire drinking tea and watching movies, frosty windows in the morning and foggy cities, leaf piles and crispy apples, trick or treating and scary movies...I really don't think there is one thing about this season that I don't like.

Have you ever bobbed for apples?

3.) It hasn't happened yet but Double Date night tonight! Man hands and I have set up his boss and Livi on a blind date. We are just going to a local restaurant to have some dinner and drinks. It will be a good time.

I can't forget about my secret getaway this weekend! So happy it's Friday and the weekend is here!

What had made you happy this week?

Pumpkins!

So last night we finished the pumpkins I mentioned on Monday. The kids did a GREAT job and had so much fun. It worked out a lot better to have the younger kids go first and the older kids second. Here is a few of them.

Now to come up with an October project...

Any Ideas?

Chips and salsa for breakfast...

Yes that's what I am having for breakfast, don't judge me. I went to the gym this morning so it's allowed right? Oh who am I kidding, I would have still eaten them if I didn't go. Sometimes I just can't wait till lunch; I am not the most patient of people at times.

A few things I can't wait for (unfortunately I have too) are...

1.) This weekend I am taking a secret getaway with Livi to Portland. We are going on a Distillery tour and then hitting the dance floor. Then Sunday on our way home we are going Zip Lining...eek! It's going to be so  much fun!!

2.) Oktoberfest in Leavenworth! Man Hands and I went last year with some friends and we had so much fun! This year I got a corset to go with my beer girl costume (man hands has the lederhosen) hopefully we will make it into the ACTUAL festival tents this year. What should we do first? {wine tasting, cheese tasting, giant pretzels, beer drinking, brats} This is going to become a tradition for me and it helps that man hands is German.

3.) Holiday craft bazaars! I have been working on some fall flowers and need to get on some winter ones too. I am also working on some wedding flowers as well. ooh they are so pretty, I can't wait to show it off when it's all finished.

(This is one of a few different ones I have been working on)

Happy First Day of Autumn! I hope you have something you are looking forward too!

Sunday Funday

So since man hands has moved in with me there is no avoiding watching football all the time; or any sports for that matter. Since its football season any and all Sunday activities will have to be put on hold till after the season. *sigh*

Today I will be going back to the Women’s Shelter to start crafts with the kids again. I am going to try something a little different and hope it works better. Instead of a small project once a week, we will be doing a bigger project that will take 2-3 days once a month. Today is the first day. I found an awesome paper-mâché pumpkin from Art projects for kids and thought it would be a good one to start with for fall.

So yesterday I made the sample and watched football with man hands and his BFF (they were going to make one also but couldn’t bring them selves to, MEN) I also had to collect plastic bags and a lot of them! So I had friends that don’t use reusable bags save them for me. I came home yesterday with a gazillion bags. HA HA. So tonight I will be hauling all the bags and my sample pumpkin to the shelter; can’t wait to see how they all look when we are finally finished on Wednesday. I will be sure to post pictures since I didn't get one of my sample.

Oh and BTW I am kicking some serious booty in my Fantasy Football league this week...who says you have to know that much about football. ha ha and as I was going through the Sunday paper I found this comic

HA HA it made me chuckle cause it's a perfect example of my favorite team last year and why I choose them the year before they won the Superbowl. So I clipped it out and placed it on the fridge...I need some more magnets, gotta look for some cute ones.

Happy Monday!
Hope its a good one for you
and
an even better week!

another week

Happy Monday...I don't feel so happy, but I am not grumpy...do you ever have days like that?

a big cup of tea and a cozy blanket sound good right about now.

I could use this brooch for days like these...

oh and my High School Reunion was fun, not too many people showed up and that's OK with me. We bar hopped and sang some karaoke, goofed off and stayed out way too late.
I also got some good closet cleaning done this weekend...got three bags of clothes to bring to the women's shelter (i didn't think i had that much clothes)

How was your weekend, anything exciting happen?

Happy (Friday) Thoughts

Thank Goodness its FRIDAY! this short week has been a tough one. HA! I am just finishing up my crafty challenge Tsuki of little gray fox is doing. I am not done but I will be submitting what I have and call it good.
Tomorrow is my 10 year High School Reunion...should be fun and I hope to see some faces I haven't seen in a while.

Today's Happy Thoughts come to you from the little things we do and her fill in the blank friday. If you would like to join in visit her blog; she has instructions there.

1. The strangest thing I've ever eaten is...hmm, I don't think I have actually eaten anything strange *thinking*thinking*thinking* nope, everything has been along the "normal" side of things. Dang I think I need to explore more.

2. I wouldn't be caught dead... stripping on stage, first I have no rhythm (as much as I would like to think I do) and second no way. I have a friend that did a burlesque show once; she is a costume designer. That would be fun but I just wouldn't be able to. Stage fright kept me from acting and I wanted to act so bad.

3. When I am 75 I will....be wearing red lipstick and glamorous wigs pinching all my grand children's cheeks and serving them freshly baked cookies

4. If I had to be named after a place I would want to be named...Emerald after my very own city; Seattle.

5. My name is...Andrea; my mom really liked the name and Shevbion; after a character on some soap opera (I know right! but I like my middle name)

6. My all time favorite photo is...There are many pictures I love and many memories that I love even more, but if I have to chose one I guess it would have to be one that I took in High School of my friends Brian and Nick sitting in the back of my 1972 VW bug early one morning skipping class. They look SO young. We had a lot of fun driving around in my car. It was the first favorite picture I have of my own.

7. If I could afford it I would...travel around the world with my children (when I have them) so that they will get to experience things I never did.

 have a fantastic weekend

Doggie Blues

My poor Suzy has the blues. When we are getting ready in the morning she has now gone to her kennel instead of laying in the hall watching us. She has the saddest look on her face, it breaks my heart. I gave her a biscuit in an attempt to cheer her up and she just ate it and came out for a min and went right back in.

I don't know what to do....

I think she needs a puppy to play with or maybe she can't find her baby doll. I know she misses us really bad when we are at work but she has never acted this way...maybe its just the rainy day blues, either way she will be getting a new toy tonight.

I think this calming heartbeat pillow would be perfect!

this scat man would also be helpful while we are gone, she likes to get up on the couch and look out the window when we leave and when we get back. This is not OK cause we would like to get a new couch and don't want her on the furniture (she doesn't go on while we are home) Then we wouldn't have to put her in the kennel while we are away.

I wish I could just bring her to work everyday

Happy Birthday Sister!

As I was saying here about getting my hair done. Well since sisters birthday is just a week from mine and she is so amazing,  she helped me when I sprained my ankle, she is my best friend and a great mother. She has been going to school so she can provide for her children and she commutes about 160 miles almost daily to do so. She brightens my day and I wanted her to feel as special as she is (or try at least) So I booked us a couple appointments to get our hair done. (didn't realize I have to say we want dye or they don't have time oops)

During

Later we will be enjoying some Sushi and drinks.
happy Birthday little Sister!

exhaustion has set in

via

Yup I think working out at 5:30am, working 10 hour days and running around doing stuff for others has finally caught up to me...or maybe its time for my monthly (or in my case not so monthly) mood change.

I skipped the gym this morning to sleep in after being woken up at 4am to Suzy scratching at my door cause she had to go out side...then shortly after crawling back in bed Alarm clock HELL started...

Sorry for the grumpies

I ordered a couple mood stabilizers from Sensaria. They have great products and are made locally in Washington. I love getting together with my girlfriends and having a spa party. I can't wait to get them tonight.

Tension, stress and fatigue can make you feel off balance. Center Pulse Point Cream combines stimulating peppermint oil and menthol with skin soothing green tea and chamomile to naturally de-stress your body and mind while helping you find your center.

Naturally harmonize the feminine cycle and balance moods with an aromatherapeutic essential oil blend that includes ylang ylang, neroli, and geranium.

How do you help the Grumpies?
