i heart camping

Man hands and I are camping for the holiday this weekend. Nothing big, just going to good friends of ours property out in Cle Elum. There is so much preparation before camping. Last holiday I re sprained my ankle so I must make sure to bring my boot and wraps (I will also get teased every time I walk out of their trailer). We went and got supplies that we don't have so we don't need to borrow anything and I have washed the sleeping bags. All we really need to do is pack our clothes and fill up the truck....here lies the problem. I have a Girl date with my dear friend Kelli on Thursday (the night before we leave) to see Eclipse and I am NOT going to cancel. So we got into a little argument about it. Last night when he came home, nothing was said about it (nothing was really said at all) So I guess we shall see what happens. I will try my hardest to get things packed and ready to go so we are not stressed for time and he doesn't do is all on his own.
It will be a good weekend filled with laughs, friends, family, beer and fireworks.
I will miss the professional fireworks that I can see from my deck, and pray that no one will end up in urgent care (again) due to burns or *sigh* sprained ankles. I cant wait to show my niece and nephew how to make a sparkler heart and go floating down the Yakima river. I can already smell the camp fire and hear the laughter of slightly tipsy goofballs.

Have a safe and Happy 4th!

who wants cake?

So about 6 month or so ago Olivia wanted to plan a special party for her parents 30 year anniversary. They chose to renew their vows this year as a way of celebrating. Olivia knows I love to make cakes and all that is crafty, so I volunteered my skills and started working on the roses (they take a while) and as we all know my sister has been in pastry school and can bake a mean cake. So we teamed up and put in about 30 hours or so to make this very special Wedding cake.
Enjoy!

As a result Sister and I have decided we want to make cakes together in the future and who knows maybe it could become a full time thing...

Last night I had some interesting dream(s). None that I can remember exactly what happened just that they were very strange, more than normal I suppose.

a ninja was def a part of the dream(s)

that was covered in slime...

(this goofy guy made me chuckle)

this is about what i remember...dreams are strange and I love looking them up so according to dreammoods.com

To see a ninja in your dream, symbolizes a someone in your life whose intentions are unclear. You may feel threatened by this person's abilities or suspicious of their motivations.

To see a sunflower in your dream, symbolizes warmth, abundance, longevity, and prosperity. The sunflower also serves to point you in the right direction and is a source of spiritual guidance. Even through difficult times, you will persevere. Alternatively, the sunflower denotes haughtiness. You may be deceived by the false appearance of someone.

To see or feel slime in your dream, represents your inability to place your trust in someone. The dream may be a metaphor for some one is a slime ball.

...hm...a nice hot bath tonight is in order.

This weekend was my first show ever at the Punk Rock Flea Market. I am just getting started with my etsy shop and bloggin' and what not, so i don't have much to display, i think its a great start though.

Kelli and I on the left and Asa on the right. So happy the rain stayed away for the day.

this is it...i couldn't find my foam head so i improvised with a sculpture i made in high school art class.

The day was long and didn't sell anything (but to my wonderful sister) but I really had a good time sitting with KelliAsa and her man.  They all make the most wonderful things. (I can't wait to purchase my mirrors next month)

yay for craft days! They are truly making me happy!

this will brighten up any one's Monday....i made etsy front page!

i def needed some cheering up, thank you etsy

It was a short week and its been a good one (despite my re-sprained ankle and steroid induced headaches). So i wanted to share some things that make me happy...

Hope you enjoy your Friday

~Mystic Unicorn Horn~

Unicorns make me happy for so many reasons and to have one captured in a ring, yes please!

~The road leading home~

i heart the way the ivy crawls all over the railing and the walls on the bridge leading me to my "home sweet home"

~Picture Msg~

Nothing makes me happy more than to know my special someone is thinking about me while at work. I wish i was out whale watching and not sitting at a desk, but the pics give me a bit of an escape for a moment.

~Good Times~

ha ha. i saw this and made me crack up. Having and drink or two or three with a good friend(s) make me super happy! especially after a long-er-short week at work.

cheers to a great weekend!
