Friday night Al took me out for my Birthday dinner at my favorite Italian place, Armondos. They have or now its HAD the best blue cheese dressing ever. Sadly they got a new executive chef and its no longer available. However the food was delicious!!

Happy (Friday) Thoughts

Just a few things that make me happy at this moment...

 balloon has been passed to me from Kelli and she got it from Tsuki

Today is my 28th birthday, it is also 4 other people I knows birthday! Two of them are co-workers; it has been the funnest thing this morning to yell happy birthday to each other.

I got a TON of mail yesterday when I got home and not one was a bill! I ordered some octopus nylons from etsy; they came in. I got an adorable thank you card from the kids at the women's shelter I volunteer at, along with a wedding invite and some birthday cards. I love getting mail, its so lovely to know someone put time into their day sending something out to you. 

 

everyday this cute kid comes in with his Dad to drop off documents and he remembered my birthday and got me this yummy donut. How sweet is that kid!

Tonight I will be watching these amazing ladies kick some ass! Have you heard of the LFL? I went to a game last year and had a good time, they only play twice a year here in Seattle.

I can't seem to get enough of this song right now. It's so fun and makes me wanna hop around and sing. How cute is her make-up in this video?

Monday night man hands gave me my  birthday present early. He asked me if I wanted to wait for Friday and duh I am not that patient. So he made me sit on the edge of the bed hold out my hands and close my eyes, then he hands me a pink ipod nano with an arm band so I can work out with it.. I think the last thing I had was a disk man like 10 years ago and for a while I was thinking I was the only person in the WORLD that didn't have one. yup, I have even seen tiny humans (children) with them. I am a shame to my tech savvy generation, I know.

So with my new toy I have been obsessed (hence my blogging absence yesterday) and I now give you some Etsy love for my ipod "panda man"

crafty weekend

Happy Monday! My body is sore from working out this morning, I should stretch more...

So this weekend I decided to stay in and get some crafting done, its been WAY too long and I miss it so much. So with the wedding coming up in just a couple weeks it was a perfect time to start the two projects I volunteered myself to help with. The ceremony garland and the wedding favors.

Friday night I put together the Garland that will be hanging from the arbor where the Bride and Groom will be exchanging vows. The bride gave me a little of direction and set me free. I love LOVE that I got to do that.

and Saturday night I made the thank you notes for the favor boxes

I cant wait to get the boxes in so I can assemble and see the final product!

Yesterday I went thrift store shopping to look for dressers that I might like so I could finish them and what not. Didn't find one but I did find a dress to wear to the wedding in September!

5:30 this morning I went to the gym with my dear friend Livi! I even left the house while man hands was still brushing his teeth...just kissed his cheek good-by. (wonder what went through his head...I am normally  still sleeping when he leaves)

This is so embarrassing to say and I hate myself for it but while I was getting ready for work, G.T.L went through my head...you know from that awful show, Jersey Shores. I was doing laundry at the time and had already been to the gym...lol.

Next week I plan on getting a new (and way over due) hair style at the Humanity Salons. They help the homeless by personally delivering a care package with every hair service. They also help other local charities and help low income women look their best for job interviews after getting back on their feet. What a great place!

So the only problem is what do I do with my hair?

This is about what it normally looks like after I get it cut...its pretty and all but I don't want it short anymore.

I am so embarrassed...

When I get bored I start to doodle and sometimes I start to scribble my name with man hands' last name and who looks over my desk and reads things when they walk by! Yup I was confronted and asked who's name I was practicing...those post its quickly got thrown out! Hahahaha

I know I am not the ONLY one...?

Right now all I want to do is build a nice cozy fire, curl up next to it and get warm! It would be just wrong for me to build a fire in August...just wrong.

My office building has central air, air conditioning, who knows; I just know its too freaking cold! So I got my blanket wrapped around my poor poor tootsies, wishing  they never blew out the space heater. (Thats a whole big addiction that ended in my computer getting fried, cold feet and tears. I would rather not talk about it. Very sad)

If I had this fire table (its smoke free) it wouldn't be a hard decision to light it on cold summer days/nights.

Birthday Weekend Fun

This weekend was full of birthday parties and FUN! Saturday was my godsons 9th Birthday Party at the park...too bad it rained but we still had a great time.

right after the birthday party Al and I packed up the kids to take them back home to Cle Elum for Rowan's 4th birthday party on Sunday where a special guest showed up...

Princess Panda reporting for duty

Well I did it! Woke up, it helped that Suzy really needed to go outside and pee so I had to let her out. Either way this morning was a success! Yoga was all done by 6:15. Yes I am tired, but it feels good! Also got some more time to read Eat, Pray, Love. I'm almost done and its taking me WAY too long to finish so I need to get crakin!             psst, how cute is this couple? I wanna be that couple someday...

Anyway its my birthday month so I got myself a princess cup from chuck e cheese the other day and I am drinking my water from it all month so everyone knows! I have never been big on celebrating my birthday but this year I have been really excited...maybe cause I will be 28 and since I was a little girl I have been dreaming of being in my late 20's and how my life is just what I wanted it to be...just beginning. I love the adventure life is. I truly believe you make it what you want it to be. For the last 10 years I have just been struggling to get by and live or find another place to live or healing my heart from heartbreaks of all kinds. I have a wonderful group of friends and they have been my biggest support just by being available to talk or have a drink anytime i needed. HA I didn't even think I was gonna get all sappy today, must be feeling super good!
